15th October brought to an end the Monday to Fridays loco-hauled diagram from Cardiff to Paignton, though the Taunton to Cardiff turn still exists.

67019 lead the last 1247 Paignton to Cardiff service with 67003 at the rear.

A nice touch was the addition of special window stickers reading 'Torbay Express III Paignton & Torquay Class 67 loco-hauled farewell'

Saturday 25 Sept 2010 brough super-power to the Devon banks as 6024 King Edward I and 60163 Tornado double head Pathfinders' 1Z63 0552 Eastleigh-Plymouth at Dainton.

Mazey Day Specials

Mazey Day in Cornwall on Saturday 26 June 2010 saw several special trains heading for Penzance.

We took a day off to travel on the Class 67 hauled services to Taunton last week, before the trains go back to DMUs.

I took both of these photos: The one above on 23rd September 2010 and the one below 38 years earlier on 27 May 1972.
