The first Bullied Pacific to reach Okehampton since steam days thunders through Yeoford station, near Coleford Junction, with the 'Atlantic Coast Express' railtour on 4 October 2003.

Ex-GWR 4-4-0 No 3440 City of Truro breasts Hemerdon bank, near Plymouth, on 3 December 2004 with a special working to Bristol Temple Meads.

The programme includes the spectacular exit from Dainton tunnel by 5029 Nunney Castle on the February 2003 'Royal Duchy' railtour

And what a wonderful sight and sound 6201 Princess Elizabeth made as she sped through Dawlish Warren with 'The Mayflower' of 19 October 2002.

Getting ex-BR Standard Pacific No 71000 Duke of Gloucester down to Devon proved to be a difficult task. The trip from Bristol to Plymouth on May Bank Holiday Monday of 2007 is captured at Exeter (above) and also at Marley and Dainton tunnels.

The last Bullied Pacific to Penzance was No 34002 Salisbury in 1964, so the appearance of Tangmere in August 2005 caused a major stir.
Our cameras were at Rattery and St Germans bank (above) to record the event.

Amongst several major steam railtours operating in 2007, the highlight would probably have to be the 'Great Britain' which was steam hauled from Penzance to Thurso.
The West Country leg featured 6024 King Edward I double-heading with 5029 Nunney Castle and the pairing was captured near Liskeard and later thundering up Hemerdon (above)
