Definitely a first and last !
Not one but Two Class 58s, 58046 & 58002 leave Aberdeen with the returning 'Worksop Aberdonian' of 21 September 1996.

The 'Cornish Explorer' tour of 29 June 2002 brought the first and last sight of a Class 58 into the Duchy. Here 58021 leans into the curve at Gwinnear Road in deepest Cornwall, once junction for the Helston branch.
Unfortunately the Class 58 failed to restart for the return at Longrock depot Penzance and was returned home 'dead'.
