Having arrived at Manchester Victoria on the 1800 from Lime Street on 6 Aug 1984 40060 departs with the ecs to Red Bank sidings.
Manchester Piccadilly on 17 September 1983 and 40079 arrives with the last Skegness service of that summer, the 1320 Skegness-Manchester.

Featuring Newton Heath & Longsight 40035 and 40143 stand at the former depot in 1983 parked next to a DMU parcels van.
3] LEEDS TO CARLISLE
40069 pulls away from Leeds with the Clitheroe cement empties on 18 July 1983.
40013 arrives at Saltair on 30 June 1984 with the 1040 Carlisle-Leeds.
4]NEWCASTLE TO LONDON
40133 blasts through Ferryhill with a fitted freight in March 1983.
40197 departs Scarborough on 14 August 1983 with a return adex to Rhyl.
5] NORTH WALES
40076 pulls away from Prestatyn on 23 July 1977 with the 0937 Llandudno-Birmingham.
6] SCOTLAND
40066 leaves Arbroath on 9 August 1980 with the 1335 Glasgow-Aberdeen.
7] THE SCRAP LINE
Swindon Works in 1985 with 40149, 40176 & 40154 awaiting scrapping.
8] PENNINE ROUTES
40047 passes New Mills South Jn with loaded limestone hoppers on 20 August 1983.
Hauling a failed 45023 and train 40197 departs from Dewsbury on 18 July 1983 with the 1324 Llandudno-Scarborough.
9} SUMMER SATURDAY TRAINS
Adorned with CFPS headboard 40085 climbs past New Mills South Jn with the 0804 Manchester-Skegness of 13 August 1983.
10] THE RETURN OF D200
After it's reinstatement to traffic D200 worked the Settle & Carlisle until the end of the 1983 Summer timetable. Here she departs from Appleby on 7 Sept 1983 with the 1040 Carlisle-Leeds.
11] RAILTOUR DUTIES
40024 departs from Stalybridge on 18 Feb 1984 with the DORE MAT railtour from Birmingham to Mexborough.
12] DEPARTMENTAL DUTIES
The video incudes rare footage of the Class 97/4s at work following the reinstatement of 4 of the Class for the Crewe remodelling and 97407 which in reality is 40012 AUREOL appears on the Chester main line at Eccleshall on 17 March 1986.
13] FINALE
